|Whereas:||The Georgia GAG Act would effectively ban virtually any mention of a candidate’s name within 180 days of a General Election; and|
|Whereas:||The GAG Act would restrict everything from blog posts to op-eds to even legislative scorecards designed to educate citizens on politicians’ records; and|
|Whereas:||This is the most dangerous time in the General Assembly session because legislators are anxious to cut deals so they can get home early; and|
|Whereas:||House Speaker David Ralston’s office has once again indicated the Speaker’s support for the bill.|
|Therefore:||I insist the members of the Georgia General Assembly vote down against any legislation designed gag Georgia Second Amendment supporters during this critical election year by gutting the First Amendment.|
